What stays on your device, what hosts receive and what sharing means.
On-device checking
PS input is processed in the page and a self-hosted browser worker. Answer text is not uploaded or stored by this app. Runtime files are downloaded from this site. Clear, editing the input or closing the checker clears/cancels application state; this is not a guarantee of physical memory erasure. The on-device PS route does not redact personal information.
Local service and extension
The optional local CLI/Chrome route sends selected answer text to your authenticated loopback gateway. Detected redaction precedes the evaluator and can miss sensitive information. This route is different from the on-device checker; it does not send text to this website or a research database.
Browser storage and exports
Theme preference is stored locally. Saving offline is optional and caches public application/runtime files, not answers or reviewer labels. Remove offline files through the PS checker. The default checker summary omits answer text, subject hashes, record identifiers, character counts, evidence positions and individual signals. It includes only the PS result state, public method identity and preview status. A summary still reveals that a check had a result; review it before sharing. Detailed records are a separate opt-in download and include subject hashes, spans and categories that may reveal or link information. Blind reviewer exports include the examples you opened and your labels. Files you download and clipboard copies remain under your own device/browser control.
Hosting and public discussion
Cloudflare serves the site and receives connection metadata such as IP addresses and request information under its own practices. The site adds no analytics script or advertising tracker. GitHub receives messages and account activity you submit there under its own terms. Public posts may be copied by others. Research contribution and public publication are separate choices.
Research collection and correction requests
Automatic training-data forwarding and website research intake are disabled. Merely checking an answer or posting a public discussion does not consent to training. Before any future collection, publish its purpose, allowed fields, access, retention, deletion, backup handling and specific consent choices. No unchosen retention period or anonymous-data guarantee is asserted here. Contact maintainers privately for a disclosure/deletion concern; a public-post correction cannot recall copies already made by third parties.
