Terms of use

Your rights when using the free preview and open source.

Who operates this project

AI TRUST ID is published and operated by Michael R. McGuire, an individual, Michigan, United States, and maintained through knwvmbrr/aitrust-id. These terms describe the current website and free development preview. They do not represent an incorporated foundation or a paid service agreement. If operation transfers to a corporation after formation, the policies will be reissued with that corporation’s verified identity, effective date and responsibilities.

What you are using

The catalogue explains tags and their intended jobs. PS has a working, bounded on-device preview. Building Now, Coming Soon and research proposals are distinct from a validated release. A tag reports a specific observation; it does not certify an entire answer, author or AI provider as safe or truthful.

Every tag must pass its own published validation gate before release.

Read the method, supported scope, current evidence and limitations for the tag you use. A missing finding is not a safety clearance. UNAVAILABLE means a valid evaluation could not be obtained.

Your software rights

Project code is licensed under Apache-2.0; the specification is CC BY 4.0. The actual licenses govern copying, modification, redistribution, attribution, patents and warranty limitations. These website terms do not narrow those permissions or grant rights to third-party content or trademarks. Downloading software does not enroll you in a service or require a subscription.

Your content and choices

Pasting an answer into the device checker does not upload it, publish it, transfer ownership or give the project training permission. Downloads save files only when you choose that action. Public reports and discussions are submitted by you on GitHub; drafts on this website are not submissions. Submit only content you have the right to share.

Updates and availability

Method changes carry version/source identifiers. Policy changes are dated and recorded in public source history. Version-specific plain-text downloads preserve prior published policy text. Future collection, paid services or formal certification require their own published terms and acceptance gates before activation. The preview makes no uptime or staffed response-time promise. A site outage must not alter what a previously downloaded local method claims.
